Area Police Beat 11-22-17 (expanded)

Amy Noel Vaughan, 32, Crystal River, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office, Nov. 10, charged with theft of a 1997 Dodge van ($2,000 bond). Deputies located the missing van of a deceased person at Ms. Vaughan’s residence. The report stated that the deputies had been contacted about the theft by the executor of the deceased woman’s estate.
Jeffrey Scott Ouellette, 51, Inverness, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office, Nov. 13, charged with misdemeanor trespassing after warning ($1,000 bond). The arrest report stated that Mr. Ouellette had been trespassed from the Kangaroo Express gas station, located at 743 South U.S. Hwy. 41, in Inverness, and returned to the business about 10:22 pm, and was found beside a garbage can, smoking a cigarette.
James Edward Ross, 54, Dunnellon, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office, Nov. 13, charged with domestic battery bond).
Michael Joseph Schwind, 32, Inverness, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office, Nov. 13, charged with felony domestic battery by strangulation (no bond).
John Clayton Tice, 33, Yankeetown, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff’s Office, Nov. 13, charged with failure to appear (in court). His surety/cash bond was set at $500.
Kelton Bert Blaize Wright, 30, Inverness, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office, Nov. 13, on a Citrus County warrant for violation of an injunction (coming within 500 feet of the petitioner’s residence, school, or work (no bond).
Charles Arthur Christian, 56, Hernando, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office, Nov. 14, charged with (being a) sex offender and providing false address registration information ($2,000 bond).
The arrest report stated that Mr. Christian reported his temporary address on Nov. 11, as a mobile home park, located at 4920 E. Parsons Point Rd. (Lot 9) in Hernando, FL. Deputies learned, however, that Mr. Christian had been evicted from that address prior to his release from the Citrus County Detention Facility on Oct. 2, that the mobile home is currently being renovated, and no tenant has lived there since Aug. 28.
Brandi Renee Jenkins, 44, Crystal River, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office, Nov. 14, charged with driving while license knowingly suspended or revoked (first offense), and burglary of an unoccupied conveyance ($5,500 bond). The arrest report stated that a person contacted deputies with the report that a person (Ms. Jenkins) had taken items from the victim’s car that was parked in the parking lot of the Rural King store, located at the Crystal River Mall in Crystal River. The victim had attempted to speak with Ms. Jenkins, but she (Ms. Jenkins) picked up another woman (the owner of the vehicle) at the front of the Rural King store, and fled from the area. The female victim and a male witness had obtained the tag number of the car driven by Ms. Jenkins, and deputies were able to locate the vehicle’s owner at her home. Ms. Jenkins was located at the intersection of W. Gulf to Lake Hwy. and N. Virginia Rd. A stolen Dremmel tool was recovered upon Ms. Jenkins’ arrest.
Robert Lloyd Messersmith, 74, Inverness, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office, Nov. 14, as a fugitive from justice on a Hennepin County, Minnesota arrest warrant for second degree criminal sexual conduct. His bond set at none.
Jodie Lynnette Rork, 44, Crystal River, also known as Jodi Walton, according to the arrest report, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office, Nov. 14, charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill ($2,000 bond). The arrest report stated that Mr. Rork is accused of bringing a firearm to the victim’s residence while accusing him of running over her cat with his car, earlier that day. The victim told deputies that Ms. Rork had pulled the trigger of the gun, while in close proximity to him, and she’d struck him, several times, when he took the gun away from her.
Ryan Peter Ross, 37, Crystal River, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office, Nov. 14, on a Pinellas County, FL warrant for career offender registration violation ($10,000 bond).
Alma Ann Cordero, 27, Homosassa, who was already incarcerated at the Citrus County Detention Facility in Lecanto, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office, Nov. 15, on a Citrus County warrant for petit theft (value less than $100), with her bond set at $500.
Sherry Nichole Davis, 39, Homosassa, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office, Nov. 15, charged with battery of a person 65 years of age or older, a first degree misdemeanor reclassified to third degree felony ($2,000 bond). The arrest report stated that on Nov. 15, the victim of the battery provided a 16-minute video surveillance recording, to the arresting deputy, of an incident that had occurred on Nov. 2, during which Ms. Davis was seen striking the victim with an open hand and closed fist, and strangling and striking the victim with a telephone charger cord. During the incident, the elderly male victim was sitting in a recliner chair, attempting to protect himself, according to the arrest report, and the following day, went to a hospital with chest pains. When the deputy spoke with Ms. Davis regarding the incident, she said that the only thing she remembered doing was lowering the victim’s hands from in front of his face, so that he could look at her while they were talking, according to the arrest report.
Gary Robert Labretone, 34, Homosassa, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office, Nov. 15, charged with resisting an officer without violence ($1,000 bond). The report stated that a traffic stop was made on the vehicle that Mr. Labretone was driving on W. Van Buren Dr. in Homosassa, due to a Citrus County warrant for Mr. Labretone for failure to appear (in court) for a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. However, he ran from a deputy and failed to comply with deputies, when they attempted to place him into handcuffs. He was additionally charged with the warant for misdemeanor failure to appear (no bond).
Matthew James McKeown, 31, Homosassa, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office, Nov. 15, charged with misdemeanor retail petit theft (value $100 or less). His bond was set at $500. Mr. McKeown is accused of taking a cooler and numerous items of male clothing, with a combined value of $64.10, from the Dollar General store, located at 3795 S. Suncoast Blvd. in Homosassa, then exiting the store without paying for the items. Mr. McKeown left the store, but was located behind Neffer’s Bowling alley, just north of the store, where he lives (homeless) in a wooded area.
Richard L. Pulver, 32, Inglis, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff’s Office, Nov. 15, charged with two counts of probation violation (no bond).
Krystal Ann Spindler, 31, Beverly Hills, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office, Nov. 15, charged with credit card fraud, criminal use of personal identification information, and grand theft ($300 or more, but less than $5,000). Her bond was set at $6,000. The report stated that the victim had allowed Ms. Spindler to stay in her home, as she had none, and during this time, Ms. Spindler is accused of fraudulently using the victim’s credit card by making four purchases, totaling $799.91 from Amazon, without the victim’s permission.
Curtis Nathan Storman, 30, Homosassa, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office, Nov. 15, charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of cannabis (less than 20 grams), and possession of drug paraphernalia ($4,000 bond). The arrest report stated that the arrest was the result of a complaint, just before midnight, of an unconscious man sitting in the driver’s seat of a vehicle that was parked in the parking lot of the College of Central Florida located at 3800 S. Lecanto Hwy., with several knives around him. The report stated that deputies also noted drugs items in the car, as well, including 0.5 gram of methamphetamine, approximately one gram of cannabis, and a glass methamphetamine pipe with methamphetamine residue.
Ryan Lee Strickland, 22, Homosassa, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office, Nov. 15, charged with aggravated battery using a deadly weapon, and domestic battery (no bond).
Troy Glenn Draughn, 51, Floral City, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office, Nov. 16, charged with child abuse without causing great bodily harm, and domestic battery (no bond).
Robert Lewis Killinger, 41, Oxford, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office, Nov. 16, charged with possession of a controlled substance, and leaving the scene of a crash with property damage ($2,500 bond).
Frederick Jorden Wright, 21, Crystal River, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office, Nov. 16, charged with failure to return hired/leased property with intent to defraud, trafficking or endeavoring to traffic in stolen property, giving false verification of ownership or false identification to a pawnbroker ($15,000 bond).
Jessica Michelle Borsje, 44, Inverness, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office, Nov. 17, charged with grand theft ($300 or more, but less than $5,000). Her bond was set at none.
Linda Marie Earley, 45, Beverly Hills, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office, Nov. 17, charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance ($4,000 bond).
John Douglas Hoover, 38, Inglis, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff’s Office, Nov. 18, charged with non-support of children or spouse ($4,070 bond).
Maria Jimenez, 59, Lecanto, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office, Nov. 17, charged with domestic battery (no bond).
Brett Joseph Macaluso, 25, Hernando, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office, Nov. 17, charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of cannabis less than 20 grams, and possession of drug paraphernalia ($6,000 bond).
Joseph Daniel Smith, 69, Inverness, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office, Nov. 17, on a Citrus County warrant for disorderly intoxication, and exposure of sexual organs ($1,500 bond).
Shawn Patrick Foltmann, 36, Port Richey, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office, Nov. 18, charged with misdemeanor criminal mischief ($200 or more, but less than $1,000). His bond was set at $500.
