About The Newscaster

This website is a supplement to our sister websites:  thenewscaster.com
, newscasterarchives.com, thehealthcaster.com. It is a compilation of interesting stories from The Newscaster (newspaper) since 1998 and archives compiled by Sally Price, former post master of Yankeetown, FL. Feel free to ad content that we don’t already have.  Email Sally at pricesally@yahoo.com.  You must have a valid email address. Enjoy!

“The Newscaster” is a weekly newspaper in a rural area of The Nature Coast in Northwest Central Florida which was established in August 1998. We publish ‘Hometown News for the Nature Coast’ and distribute to Inglis, Yankeetown, Dunnellon, Crystal River, Lake Rousseau, Inverness, Hernando and Homosassa, each Wednesday, by subscription, direct bulk mail, home throws, and in racks, countertop displays and boxes. Our weekly circulation is approximately 3,800 papers.
Our newspaper is the best way to reach shoppers in Inglis, Florida, as we direct-mail or home-throw every issue to this area. The circulation of “The Newscaster” in this area exceeds the combined circulation of all other newspapers, including dailies, by a ratio of 8:1. These shoppers do the majority of their shopping in other areas, so why not advertise with us and have them do their shopping with you?
We offer display ads (any size, up to a full page), banner ads (which run the entire width of a page, top or bottom), political ads, classified ads (for individuals or businesses), business card ads, and inserts. We offer internet web buttons to advertise your website on our website (with or without a link from our website to yours), and design and manage small websites. We accept print-ready ads, or we will design your ad for you, according to your specifications, using your business logo and/or other graphics. Our deadlines are: Friday at 5:00 p.m. for first-time display ads; and 12:00 p.m. noon on Mondays for news, announcements, classified ads, and changes to existing ads.
Please call Tom or Debbie Russell at 352-388-1668 for additional information and rates.
